Our first ever Maldives holiday was taken on tiny Eriyadu and it's where we fell in love with these magical islands. A friendly, back-to-basics resort, there are no fancy sound systems or Jacuzzis here, but its beaches, lagoon and house reef are stunning, and it's one of the most reasonably-priced resorts. We loved the luxurious villas at Furaveri, in Raa atoll - then we snorkelled the reef and were blown away! An easy swim from the beach, it's one of the liveliest house reefs we've seen, with sharks and turtles frequently spotted.
